Areas of Expertise

  • I’m organized and detail oriented, two key skills in successful GTMs. Additionally, as a keen communicator, I can help keep teams internally aligned as we move toward launch.

  • First using primary sources (conversations, interviews, etc.), I build an initial messaging and positioning framework. Next, the output is pressure-tested through more research and experimentation to refine.

  • I ran the competitive intel program for Lyft’s Northern California market. I got creative with finding intel sources and structured programs to keep an eye on competitors.

  • I can analyze existing research, no matter how messy, to identify any knowledge gaps and propose new studies to help you identify core customers. Using the research, I can synthesize trends to help formulate a clear picture of your personas. At both Expo and Nextdoor, I published the first sets of research-backed personas to facilitate marketing strategy.

  • In my heart, I’m a creative writer so this is an area where I have the most fun :) I excel at internalizing a brand’s voice and coming up with fresh ways to bring your message into the world. At Expo (formerly Pared), I collaborated across departments to synthesize the brand voice to publish the company’s very first brand voice guidelines.

What people say about Jamie

“Jamie is an excellent teammate. I worked with her as an engineer when she ran the operations team and I worked with her as a product manager while she ran growth marketing at Pared. In both roles she was an excellent collaborator. On the ops team she made sure her team understood everything we were building and how to best use the tools we built. She also prioritized the teams engineering requests into tickets that would have the most impact on their work. We worked together on product initiatives when she ran growth. She would lead the marketing efforts and how to best educate and encourage usage of new features. All around a truly great team player.”

NICK DUEBER
Senior Product Manager

“Jamie is a versatile team player and a beloved manager. I managed Jamie when she was working on growth marketing. I always knew I could trust her as my right hand to manage initiatives including content marketing, email marketing and product marketing. Jamie learned whatever tools were necessary to get the job done from Braze to Hubspot to Branch. On top of executing the marketing campaigns, Jamie had the analytical rigor to assess their effectiveness. What I loved most about Jamie was that she always took initiative to work on projects that mattered to the company from creating user personas to brand assessments. This commitment and her energy is contagious and one of the reasons everyone on our team loved working with her.”

DAVE LU
Co-founder & President at Expo

“Jamie has consistently been a strong contributor, collaborator, and communicator no matter what came her way. She’s talented in both quantitative and creative realms, a mix that is rare in marketers. The rapport she easily builds across teams helps maximize her impact. I’ve witnessed her take time out to welcome new members to the team (no matter who they are) and then confidently step into a big presentation with leadership in the same week. Any organization will be lucky to have her.”
