Zetta Positioning & Fundraising Pitch Deck
“The entire Olivine team has been a delight to work with over the host of a handful of projects. Their recent help updating our newsletter noticeably increased our engagements while up-leveling the visual consistency and brand cohesiveness. Olivine is responsive, attentive, and collaborative and has been a meaningful asset to our team.”
— JOCELYN GOLDFEIN, MANAGING DIRECTOR AT ZETTA
About Zetta
Zetta Venture Partners is the leading venture capital firm exclusively focused on AI. They’ve raised three funds totaling $365 million with investments in 36 AI-first companies including Clearbit, Domo, Kaggle, and Teem. Zetta is lead by three managing directors — Mark Gorenberg, Ash Fontana, and Jocelyn Goldfein — all of whom have been entrepreneurs and operators, as well as investors.
The need
Zetta had a strong performing fund with an incredible roster of AI-first companies but was unsure of how to position themselves for their next fund. They needed to craft their story, refresh their visual style, and produce a deck to support their fundraising efforts.
The strategy
Working closely with Katie Kalmikoff, Zetta’s marketing manager, we interviewed the portfolio founders and led a series of strategic workshops to identify Zetta’s brand story and unique differentiators.
Brand Positioning & Messaging: Align as a team on why you exist and your unique place in the market as a foundation for crafting a compelling brand story.
Defining Proto-Personas: Identify the goals, pain points, motivations, and daily routines of your target audience so that you can put your customer at the center of everything you do.

The deliverables
From there, we worked with the managing directors to establish their brand communication guide and design and develop their deck to support their fundraising efforts—resulting in their latest fund of $180M. We also did a team photoshoot and worked with them to redesign their newsletter, Zettabytes.
